Romantic Sunset on Cruise in Maldives

“I toast my wife for this wonderful romantic moment, and I finished the last of my champagne. It was then I caught the perfect moment of the sun peeking through the moody clouds above the horizon.”

I travel around the world with MeFoto Globetrotter, my trusty Nikon with a set of LEE filters all packed into an incredibly reliable Manfrotto backpack. These are some of the gears I carry around to capture and produce these phenomenal and incredible imagery.

Romantic Sunset on Cruise in Maldives…

We headed out for a short cruise for a romantic retreat with the sunset. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect on this short excursion out into the sea. But if we’re promised to have a glass of champagne onboard, I guess it wasn’t all that bad.

Thirty minutes into the ride, the sun begin to set. And I wasn’t disappointed with what I saw. The sky was illuminated with bright orange and reddish glow The overcast of clouds added a stronger mood and contrast to the beautiful sight. It was an incredible moment when the sun eventually revealed itself behind the moody clouds.

So real. You can almost feel the warmth of the sun’s gentle caress upon your skin. The cool breeze blows towards you as you drifted along the ocean, seemingly towards nowhere. The small boat we’re in, floating around the ocean makes you feel… emotional yet peaceful. It’s as though you’re never alone because the light will show you the way.

I toast my wife for this wonderful romantic moment, and I finished the last of my champagne. It was then I caught the perfect moment of the sun peeking through the moody clouds above the horizon. Balancing myself on the boat, I got into position to capture the scene and it shall forever remain in my memories.

This “Romantic Sunset on Cruise in Maldives” was completed by this final image I took onboard.
