The sun began to set, and that was when my previous panorama image was created. But unexpectedly, on the extreme right side where this Clock Tower is, a different color began to show up in the sky. A beautiful pink hue appears, and the Clock Tower also lit up with lights. I was awed by the sight and all I could do was run towards it.
Situated somewhere off Victoria Peak, at the top of a mountain sits a few apartments that, I presume, would have an incredible view every evening. With the sun setting on the right, I began to find positions to frame the ideal image I was looking for.
Moving on to our next location at Hong Kong, we camped at Central Admiralty for the Symphony of Light. While we were there, I saw this beautiful coastline across with the gentle sunset Color transiting from the right to the left. It would be such a waste not to capture this vast skyline!
Organised by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Symphony of Lights appears every night with a combination of music orchestra, lights, lasers and fireworks.
For those who loves capturing a location’s entire view of its panoramic cityscape, Victoria Peak has been a very popular place in Hong Kong for that. At times, the peak would be covered by heavy fogs that limits the amount of light coming through. I was lucky enough to catch a view like this without too much of a fog at about 5pm.
Right after our Bangkok trip, we head straight to Hong Kong for our next destination. Hong Kong has always been a very fascinated place, especially for photography. Although the city is filled with crowded and dense skyscrapers, many photographers saw the other side of life through their lens. For me in particular, I was attracted to how a developed city can still relate so closely to nature. Hong Kong’s weather can be unpredictable and at times when you’re presented with the conditions that you’re looking, you get amazed by how incredible it is to see a city blends so well with different weather to create a spectacular view.
I found myself loving how I would randomly come across a beautiful scene that was unplanned for. And for most cases, they turn out to be more beautiful than I expected.
This image was created during the evening, when we were heading towards the harbor where tourists board for their cruise.
